CRA & Fair Lending Colloquium Scheduled for November
ICBA Preferred Service Provider Wolters Kluwer Financial Services will host the 16th Annual CRA & Fair Lending Colloquium Nov. 12–15 in San Antonio. This unique event is an opportunity for senior compliance executives at financial services organizations to discuss their most pressing consumer compliance and risk management concerns with top regulators and other industry leaders. This year’s Colloquium is scheduled to feature a number of prominent regulatory officials as speakers, including:
  • Steven L. Antonakes, associate director for supervision, enforcement, and fair lending, consumer financial protection bureau (CFPB);
  • Patrice Ficklin, assistant director for fair lending, CFPB;
  • Sandra Braunstein, director, consumer and community affairs division, Federal Reserve Board (FRB);
  • Steven Rosenbaum, chief, housing and civil enforcement, U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ), civil rights division;
  • Eric Halperin, special counsel for fair lending, DOJ, civil rights division; and
  • Grovetta Gardineer, deputy comptroller for compliancy policy at the Office of the Comptroller of Currency (OCC).

Is Your Bank A Winner? Nominations for the 2013 Community Bank Service Awards are Open.
Nominate your bank for the 2013 National Community Bank Service Awards sponsored by FIS. ICBA recognizes the important role community bankers play in supporting their local communities through their commitment to community service. If you are a community bank with a community service or volunteer program, no matter how big or small, we want to hear from you.

All community banks with a community service, volunteer, or financial literacy program are eligible to be nominated for the 2013 National Community Bank Service Awards. Entry is free and multiple entries are encouraged. You may nominate your own bank.

National Award recipients will be recognized in the April 2013 issue of the nationally recognized community banking magazine ICBA Independent Banker. As a bonus, the Grand National Award recipient receives $1,000 to use toward future community service efforts. National Award recipients each receive $500 for their programs. Nominations are due by Dec. 3, 2012.
