Membership News & Announcements Take A Bow--National Community Bank Service Awards Nominate your community bank for the 2013 National Community Bank Service Awards sponsored by FIS. ICBA recognizes the important role community banks and their employees play in supporting their local communities through generous acts of community service. If you’re a community bank with a community service or volunteer program, no matter how big or small, we want to hear from you. Describe your bank’s program and help us honor the commitment of your bank and its employees.
All community banks with a community service, volunteer, or financial literacy program, helping to sustain communities across the nation are eligible to be nominated for the 2013 National Community Bank Service Awards. Entry is free for all community banks and multiple entries are encouraged. You may nominate your own bank.
National Award recipients will be recognized in the April 2013 issue of the nationally recognized community banking magazine ICBA Independent Banker. National Award recipients will also be recognized during ICBA’s National Convention, March 11-15 in Las Vegas, Nev. The Grand National Award recipient receives roundtrip airfare, convention admission and hotel accommodations courtesy of ICBA.
As a bonus, the Grand National Award recipient receives $1,000 to use toward future community service efforts. National Award recipients each receive $500 for their programs.
November’s ICBA Independent Banker Issue Available Community bankers’ surging efforts and interest in providing mobile banking services are highlighted in this month’s coverage of ICBA’s 2012 Community Bank Technology Survey in ICBA Independent Banker. As part of IB’s annual technology issue, five community banks that are industry technology leaders are also profiled. Other coverage includes articles on promoting electronic bank statements, mortgage origination software systems, mobile banking and mobile payments, and services to help community bank customers protect their own computer systems.
